Previously the owners of the Perth Ampol service station on site, the residents of 123 House decommissioned the site, subdivided the land and kept the corner block for themselves to create a new home by Neil Cownie Architects. A series of repeated forms of arches and more rectilinear lines bring a sculptural element throughout the interior and exterior spaces. The material palette is inspired by a distinctive textural approach, where tonal variations serve as the canvas for incoming light to bring life, creating a residential experience defined by a sense of familiarity.
