Walnut
Natural
Renowned for its status as a premium timber in cabinet making, American black walnut is grown in sustainable forests across the eastern region of north America. Its allure lies in its captivating curly grain, showcasing a spectrum of hues ranging from deep chocolate browns with hints of purple to lustrous creamy whites. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, this timber boasts exceptional strength and hardness as well as strong shock resistance.
Please be advised that grain and colour in American Walnut vary greatly. The images presented online should therefore be used as a guideline only to the colour of your final product.
Care
Cleaning
Regularly wipe timber to remove dust and dirt. Do not leave liquid to sit on timber surfaces as it can penetrate the surface and may cause staining. Any spills should be wiped up immediately using a clean damp cloth. This should be all that is required for day to day cleaning, but if preferred, Osmo Spray Cleaner Clear Interior can be used as a surface cleaner. This is a pre-mixed solution for everyday cleaning and maintenance which has been specifically developed for oiled and waxed timber surfaces. Do not use any other cleaners or polishes as they may cause permanent damage.
Maintenance
We recommend the use of Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner Spray for rejuvenating your timber furniture. This product is based on carnuba and candelilla waxes and also contains a small amount of Osmo Polyx-Oil. It is perfect for removing heavy stains or light scratches and provides the timber with natural hard waxes without forming a film on the surface.
When properly maintained, your Jardan timber pieces should last for many years. For older tables with significant wear and tear, you may wish to consider having them sanded back and refinished. Please contact your Jardan sales representative or closest showroom for a quote.
Please Note
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the colours depicted on our website of materials and products accurately reflect the way they appear in person, Jardan advises that there may be variation between these due to a combination of factors including computer monitor, screen settings and lighting as well as a level of true variation in the products themselves. We work with many natural materials as well as handmade artisan products where a level of variation is to be expected and celebrated. It is therefore recommended that you view products in person prior to ordering where possible, or request swatches and additional information from our sales teams.
